How To Remove A Toolbar From Google Chrome

A toolbar is generally a kind of browser add-on that gets installed in your system when you visit that specific website or when you download applications from the internet. These toolbars will help you in easy navigation to the services offered by the toolbar. However, these toolbars will sometimes feel irritating and may need to be removed from your system. Well, given below are some easy instructions that will help you to remove toolbars effectively from the computer.

Removing using Control Panel

Below given are few instructions to remove toolbars from Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers by using the Control Panel option.

From Windows XP
  • Click the Windows XP Start menu and select the option called Control Panel. 
  • Next, you need to select the option called Uninstall a program that is seen under the option called Programs.
  • Double click on the name of the extension that you want to remove from your system.
  • From the User Account Control Screen, you need to select the option called Continue. When prompted to remove the extension, you need to select the option Yes.
  • When completed, just restart your Chrome browser.
From Windows Vista
  • Open the Control Panel window by navigating to the Start menu.
  • Select the option Uninstall a program, which is founder under the option Programs.
  • The name of the extension that you are trying to remove needs to be double clicked. 
  • When prompted to remove the extension, click the button called Yes.
  • Finally, restart your Google Chrome browser.
From Windows 7
  • Click the Start menu and select the option called Control Panel.
  • From the Control Panel window, you need to select the option called Programs and features.
  • Find the name of the extension that you want to remove and double click it.
  • When prompted, click the button called Yes to confirm the deletion action.
  • Conclude the process by restarting the Google Chrome browser.
From Windows 8
  • Click the option called Search by swiping from the right side of the Windows 8 screen.
  • In the search box, you need to enter Uninstall and from below the Search box, you need to click the category called Settings.
  • From the list that is seen on the left side of the screen, you need to click Uninstall a Program.
  • Double click the extension name that you want to delete from the dialog box named Programs and Features. Next, click the option called Uninstall.
  • After completion, restart your Google Chrome browser to make the changes to take effect.
